What is the problem with existing wine indices?

We ensure the Cult Wines Indices allows you to make smart investment decisions.

The most widely known existing set of indices are those of Liv-Ex. They use the trading data they gather from their clients on 10 to 100 different wines (LWIN 7) across 10 vintages to track the state of the overall market.
The problem with this approach, and other existing indices, is that not only does it represent a tiny sample of the available wine universe, but also compounds this issue by only drawing on a fraction of the total amount of trade that is carried out on those wines.
On top of this the wines that make up these indices often represent the most prestigious wines in the market, some of which are infrequently traded, and so are often a poor bell-weather for the value of the wine market as a whole.
